The structure of the training programme consists of four elements that will enable the ESRs to reach an excellent level of doctoral research: The academic training provides scientific knowledge on the role of video-based systems for AAL as well as on interdisciplinary aspects, such as user acceptance, data protection and behavioural science; to carry out cutting-edge research; The skills training focuses on transferable skills that ESRs need in a career in an academic or non-academic environment; The secondment programme enables ESRs to gain practical experience, professional input to the academic background and to build a network in the field where they will work after visuAAL; Visiting experts will share hands-on knowledge and industry-specific professional expertise complementing visuAAL’s faculty.
